Despite his questionable origins, XXXTentacion was slowly beginning to be increasingly understood as one of hip-jump’s most skilled artists when his life was sadly taken from him over the summer. Following a string of tracks released after his death, the darling South Florida rapper’s “Skins” album dropped on Friday (Dec. 7).
An album his die hard fans will truly love, the new collection contains 10 songs, including the already released single “Bad!”.It also features the song Kanye West helped him develop titled “One Minute,” which released not long ago. West plans to release a merchandise campaign in support of the late XXXTentacion.
Absent from the track list is the melody released in October, “Arms Around You,” featuring Lil Pump, Swae Lee and Maluma. The new LP follows XXX’s ? album, which was released in March and has since become certified platinum status in the wake of the rapper’s passing.
Not exclusively will X’s name live on through his music, the late rapper’s unborn son Gekyume will be born soon. A possible television show or movie focused on XXXTentacion’s life is in the works as well. The show or movie is set to begin filming in Los Angeles in January of 2019..
