Kanye West Goes Off On Drake

How Kanye’s rant started:

Drake has been trying to get clearance for “Say What’s Real”, which released in 2009. The song was made using a beat from Kanye’s “808’s & Heartbreaks”. Kanye’s refusal to clear the track has led to many shots from Drake aimed at Kanye.

On Thursday, Dec 13th, Kanye West made a handful of tweets announcing that he was still waiting for an apology from Drake.

“Still need that apology for mentioning the 350’s and trying to take food out your idols kids mouths,” said Kanye via Twitter.

In a song Drake is featured in named “No Stylist”, the Canadian rapper drops the line, “Yeah, keepin’ it G, I told her dont wear no 350s ’round me’. A song which has gotten 60 million views.

The 350s is a reference to Kanye second shoe in his Adidas x Yeezy collaboration.

Drake also sent more subliminal shots at Kanye on the song “Sicko Mode’.

“Checks over stripes (Yeah), Thats what i like (yeah), Thats we we like (Yeah), Lost my respect, you not a threat.”

Drake has collaborated with Nike and Jordan Brand plenty of times over the years, hence the “checks over stripes”. The stripes bar represents Adidas logo which features three stripes.

What started their beef:

Drake believes that Kanye West told Pusha T about his son.

Pusha T is signed to G.O.O.D Music (Kanye’s label) and has been publicly beefing with Drake since the summer of 2018. The beef is still ongoing and reached its peak when Pusha released “The Story of Adidon” and told the world about Drakes son.

Will their beef ever end? Who knows but the hip hop world is loving seeing two of the hip hop greats go head to head.
