
Finally! After years and years of waiting, Lil Wayne is finally dropping his long anticipated album “Tha Carter V”. Lil Wayne fans who have been faithful since the beginning are about get the chance to buy and stream his Tha Carter V album.
After years of financial, legal, and creative feuds with his label who is ran by Bryan “Baby” Williams, also known as Birdman, the rapper reached a settlement this summer. The settlement gave Wayne over $10 million and freed him from his longtime label Cash Money and cleared the way for him to release the album fans have been waiting on since 2011.
This album is very monumental because it is the latest installment of his Carter series that features multiple double and triple platinum projects.
Wayne has announced that C5 will be releasing on his birthday, September 27th, so the project will drop at midnight this Thursday. His announcement was made on video which was shared on his Twitter account.
He address his fans in the video saying, “Y’all hung in there with me for the last 30 millions […] I can’t do nothing but thank y’all for all the love and all the passion and every ounce of everything I have left in my heart,” he said in a video. “It goes to y’all, honesty: my fans, my supporters, the world […] I am nothing, absolutely nothing, without my fans. I hope you guys love this album […] With this album, I’m giving you more than me. You gotta always remember that this is years of work […] that you’ll hopefully be listening to.”
According to sources the album will include features from Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Wayne’s daughter Reginae Carter, 2 Chainz, and Big Sean. With all these big names, and Lil Wayne’s individual star power this album will surely be an instant classic!
